Patient Love

As I sit here in my special place
A place of free thought
And quiet pondering
I have at last found happiness
When I almost lost hope
Years of sadness and despair
Led me on a soul’s journey
In search of understanding
To the mysteries of my heart

I traveled deep within my consciousness
And was met my an old man
That some call “Time”
Time took me by the hand
And showed me the beginning
That has led to a wondrous present
Filled with dreams come true
And joy soon to be discovered
Thus teaching me patience

But before I can thank my mentor
I am whisked away
By a beautiful young woman
And I knew this to be “Chance”
We traveled across a continuum of lifetimes
Observing people and opportunities
Decisions and the right moment
Disclaiming that thing called “Luck”
Reinforcing my belief in hope

It is at that moment of thought
Bony hands grasp my shoulders
And I hear a whisper in my ears
Daring me to look behind
For “Fate” is tempting indeed
But my lessons are well learned
As calmness overcomes me
And “Fate” chuckles quietly
Reluctantly returning me
To that moment of time
Before I truly understood
This thing called “Love”

And as we again crossed paths
“Time” opened my eyes
“Chance” gave me courage
And “Fate” chuckled quietly
Nudging me towards her
Before whispering “She is the one”

Well, my story is over
And this quiet place
Will see me no more
My sweet lady awaits me
As love is prepared to carry us
To our new home

I know you won't understand this...but this read like a video game! Quickly with lots of pizazz and emotion. That's all...and I REALLY like it.
