Time slips away into nothing Just like you will one day Only fading and jaded memories Will be left for us in the end A smell a word a color a song Will almost remind us of something A feeling we won't be able to place But we will dismiss it as nothing Only a passing moment of a fading dream Like those drug and alcohol induced dreams We used to have when we were still innocent Wandering through a small town high school Maybe someone will call our name The way only one person ever did Hoping to see someone from years ago We will turn to look and remember it all Long sleepless nights on the phone Walking hand and hand in moonlight The peach orchard scented winds And feeling like we were the center of it all "I'll build a wall if we can keep them on the other side"-NIN |

Beautiful reflections of times past! Some great lines about the induced dreams....I had to smile and enjoy! |
