Between the Lines

I have begun to reread my poetry,
on sites I have created, in journals,
without even remembering.
The love notes for you, when did I do them?
Brings tears to my eyes, as they were
written during...and those of the Lady,
they were penned while hopeful and
innocent of want.
Who was this person who created these words?
Not I, I don't even recognize them.
Passions that can't be, where have they disappeared?
I browse and think, such caressing thoughts.
This poet surely was in love.
The blissful words, the touches that kissed this mind.
Where has she gone, who was this person who quilled these words:

Steps
On Seeking Happiness

What is happiness? But that
which fills our hearts with joy and
sorrow in the sharing of life's reflections.
Under a see-you canopy of stars, Does not love
rest below silken skies, upon petals of softness, touching,
surrounding two, in a gentle myst to sweetly scent that of each morn?

Is happiness not only when
the light breaks into our hearts
to shine treasures of gold throughout
our day, But also when the indigo of night
blankets us in darkness, masking our dreams
in the wishes of real? Or might not it be happiness in real
scenting our dreams, singing to us in the silence of the night?

It is there for you,
it dwells in your heart,
dances in your thoughts,
covering your naked fears,
tenderly waiting for you to break free
from that which harnesses you from fulfillment.

~Wynter

I read in silent sadness, wondering,
where has she gone?

By any name, I would know you now, for you have gone home again, as has the writer of the words, to a place where she is most comfortable, to her peace of mind...

this is a lovely write, Maureen, and I am very glad to see this...it is good poetry, and it is very, very true poetry...

Keep writing....

Maureen, both of these poems are beautiful. And you have not gone anywhere, but I know what you mean. I recently looked back at something I had written about the man I still love so much,(hopelessley) back BEFORE I loved him much, and it was so odd. How feeings change! But some others remain the same
I love this, as all of your writing, it provides glimpses into your heart.

I loved both of these poems, Maureen...
They are both really excellent poetry...
but
The blissful words, the touches that kissed this mind.
Where has she gone, who was this person who quilled these words:

really struck a familiar chord.  I recently went back and looked at my old poems and had the same feeling.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, I know just what you mean, I always go back and I am just astonished how before I wrote the saddest songs and poems of all, now I seem to be the opposite of that! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
