Morning Moon the moon hung thick in the morning refusing to release its white knuckled grip past the darkened void paralyzed in the sky unable to move hanging like some priceless antique in an open arena begging to be dusted by touch accustomed to being viewed but shy in embrace but there it stood against the wall of heaven waiting for the world’s caress moons have no vaulted value it’s wealth is something to be enjoyed just as verse from a lover never recited only curls and yellows into tomorrow fading a heart today learn something new from the lingering morning moon desire is nothing until you put it to use "Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread." |

h, Or perhaps, "from the lingering mourning moon" (what I might have said) In any case, I'm enjoying the "expansion" of your poetry of late. I like this one too. e |

(smiles) Oh Helen, this is sooooooo gorgeous, I too am always dazzled when I see the moon in the sky in the morning, it to me is a souvenir God offers us all, almost like papier-mache stuck to the sunlit skies! (kiss on cheek) This is a wonderful poem, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

I have NEVER been hanged. Heck, I didn't even have a trial I love you writing about me, though Let thy moon arise. William Blake |

After Marge, what could one add but to reinforce that this is wonderful imagery. I have just got to this Open Poetry site and would like to stay a while. Asif The heights by great men reached and kept |

Hi I read this poem again. One comment, do need to give a message at the end "today learn something new from the lingering morning moon desire is nothing until you put it to use" I like it myself as I often do this with my poetry (you can view at my site http://www.englishpoets.com), but this poem could stand without this message. You could then use this part to create another poem. Best wishes Asif The heights by great men reached and kept |
