I have been reborn,
still-born
to this world of babbling nonsnse.
People place pictures
on flashing glass globes.
Visions of perfect non-persons
tell their brothers & sisters
they are not yet plastic and no good.
I watch this, broken down
see it for what it really is.
Illusion, only colored lights
placed in patterns for presentation.
And Sally simply smiles
at the sound of deceit.
Begs for it.
Drinks it down
and consumes its lies
until, in her, it becomes truth.
She likes the ugly mask
that hides her pretty face.
She wants the heavy robes of men
that pretend feminine is fake.

>>>WE DO NOT EXIST<<<

And because we are not real,
you are not really reading this...

Cool!!! I really liked this one... like you were an observer... the naration sounds displaced.... as if the reader were looking through your eyes as a sociological observer.

I really enjoyed this write.  It is sad that we women are forced to be less than ourselves to be viewed as the equals of men.... what does that say?

Love, Light and Peace,

Sherry

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Thank you both for the great replies. Observation can sometimes be a taxing activity...
