To Mum Mother, the one who nurtured me, The one who told me who to be, You taught me to know right from wrong And how to sing my very own song, The way I look, the clothes I wear The way I pick myself up from wear and tear, You taught me to stand up for what I believe When the going get tough not to hide or leave. You gave me a house to call my home You pick through my problems with a fine tooth comb. Thank you for being there for me to love And helping to spread my wings and fly like a dove. I hope you’ll be there when I grow old, In my heart a special place for you will always hold. Life is about change, sometimes its painful, sometimes its beautiful, sometimes its both. |
