she one upped soft spoken
and whispered
her wishes to the wind

she never waited for the silent
echoes, she knew
they would not be coming

but the wind took them
and oh how it whistled, oh
how it moaned

she stopped and marveled
pleased
she whispered again

the wind tickled
and giggled her giddy

she shut her eyes
against the dust

she shut her eyes
and just listened

the wind murmured her
every whisper, until
the day she
didn’t

Now this.... is poetry...

a pleasure to read, and re-read... each time enjoying the flow and image..drawing from the ideas a bit more perhaps than even you knew you put in there...

Bravo!

You bet your sweet bippy you're stuck writing... cause I'll steal that talented pen of yours if you ever dare lay it down for long. *G* Just try me! LOL

I don't know if there's anything I can add to my earlier pontificating. *G* But I can say that I enjoyed another read... this is one I'll enjoy reading many times. *S*

Well done, WRITER! *S*

(big hugggssssss) This is soooooo powerfully bittersweet, sweet friend, my heart goes out to the lost dreams in this poem but I pray that soon the winds will whisper back and deliver all that her heart desires! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
