we were actors for the part of trees dancing there we had to dress up in nothing and lock our limbs together like we had grown that way for a thousand years we made hollow places in the sand with our feet roots and our hands we pretended the zephyr was strong and that we were blown over you were on top of me and that wind rhythm moved us when our skin became damp we pretended it was nimbose breath from the ocean that watched us we shimmered when we stirred our branches between places and we made moan sounds with our slippery bark skin we bid the shawondasee leave us when night walked the shadows we were verdent finger limbs then our entwine was a seamless meadow without movement we were embrace we had no ending or begin we waited for morning to know us when we were a forest of one... ©Dark |

This reminds me of an area that we would pass through to get to the better part of a deserted beach...the oaks and the Spanish Moss would lend to the trip a time of remember that I know I shall never forget... thank you for the trip back.... |

when our skin became damp we pretended it was nimbose breath from the ocean that watched us we shimmered when we stirred our branches between places and we made moan sounds with our slippery bark skin Not unusual for me to read something you have writtnen and wish I had penned the lines and words..this is another example of one of those times.. I do enjoy your works... quite a talent you seem to have for placing them and the ideas in unique form.. |

"we waited for morning to know us" I really like that line, but of course, the entire poem is beautiful |
