You can take off your mask |

You always seemed so confident So confident and sure Always knew what you were doing Never feeling insecure Hiding all your problems So no one could ever see Wearing a mask to face the world For so long, you fooled me. I never imagined you as scared Or one to feel shy But I now see something different When I look you in the eye. Take off your mask and talk to me You know where I am I'm always there to listen I see you as a friend. If you need me, I will help you Just reach out and take my hand Whatever you are going through I can understand. Now that this has all been said I've just one thing left to do: Let me share your secret burdens Let me carry them with you. 3-22-02 All Rights Reserved [This message has been edited by skyshine (03-23-2002 10:55 PM).] |

skyshine, Whoa! What heart you have. And an excellent nack for writing poetry. Please do more. And if you're in the market for friends...you certainly meet my qualifications. Great Job. |

Wow, what a nice offer...to share someone else's burdens. You are way too cool. So is this poem. |

Larry, thank you! I'm glad you liked it. This was my first poem in over a month. Maybe now that the muse is back, more words will come to me. Midnitesun, I'd love to be able to help him. Thanks so much for your kindness! I'm off to bed now. Have a good night and thanks again! sky |

Yeah, sure...I barely even know you! Though, if ya buy me a few rum and cokes, I'll likely tell ya anything. Nice thought here. |

Isn't it fun when our muse finally returns? It IS hard for people to let down their guard, but when they finally can trust again, and see that the loyalty and commitment for the long haul is really there, it becomes easier with time... very nice! |

To let down your guard and share your insecurities with someone is the best tribute to them you can give......a long as it doesn't become a habit! Very nice writing, miss.. |

YAY!!! Ooohhhhhh...I'm so happy to see your poems again, sweet friend, I too love that feeling when the Muse returns with a vengeance! (smiles) May your love forever reveal loves face to you behind the mask and may you two forever feel secure and safe and happy together! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Poet deVine, it was good to write again. Glad you liked it! LOL, Duncan, thanks for the reply. Thank you for reading, Andrew. Yes on both counts, Sunshine. Balladeer, it is an honor to choose someone to share your secrets with. Noah, thank you for your enthusiasm! I do hope that he and I can grow to know each other. I know that I have worn a mask at times myself, Victoria. Thanks. True friendship indeed, Magnus! Thank you all! sky |
