I saw a golden crocus yesterday Through February's coverlet of snow With petals stretched for warmth of sunshine's ray I saw a golden crocus yesterday I surely hope a robin lights today As spring's first blush, proud ocherous breast to show I saw a golden crocus yesterday Through February's coverlet of snow |

Ahhhhhh the pic is wonderful accompaniment to your verse the crocus have been blooming here, well the yellow ones anyway for a couple weeks, although the first ones up got strangled by a hard freeze their second day out the robins came in droves last week, did you see my "harbinger, harbinger" it was about the harbingers of spring, the robins...and the starlings each morning, though, the cats' outside water is frozen on top...still winter, but spring is trying...we've only had a skiff of snow this year, well, when I was gone at Christmas time, our town had 2 or 3 inches. I didn't get to see it.Really loved your poem, especially the repitition of the 'yellow crocus' line. It rather mimicked how they just keep popping up and open. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Ahh, I want Spring to arrive so very badly. To open the windows, and feel the chill of leftover winter breeze while flowers begin their trail into bloom. Nan, this is absolutely stunning and thankyou for a touch of spring. |

Nan, I love this! When I lived north of here and would see a crocus in bloom, I knew the worst of winter was over and spring was not far off. Michael Michael Auguste~ |

Inspiration has yet to hit on a triolet but here you go with "I'll show ya!" And well you did! |

So this is a triolet! Show off! Wanna see mine? These are along my path, and the tulips and daffies are popping up everywhere, so Spring is on her way! Nan, this was terrific as only you can do. Live today like it was your last day on earth! |

Yes you are seeing true I wrote after all this time a message here to you Long time to come and well done Does it say it all? Nan Such beauty you created here Wish so much Spring time would be here Thanks for making my day a lot brighter Love and Hugs Helmut The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

There is a wish for the warmth of spring When flowers bloom across the ground, For fragrance and to see the joy they bring; There is a wish for the warmth of spring The lengthening day when robins sing, The winter’s gone when we hear their sound There is a wish for the warmth of spring When flowers bloom across the ground. Gloom sorry I have no picture to go with mine Just imagine a Robin midst the Flowers |

This is beautiful, Nan. *S* It's storming outside and muggy in... but your poem breathed spring in all its glory. *S* Picture and poem = perfect presentation. *S* |
