New Day

I stare into the evening,
Searching for a memory.
One glance at the crystal water
And all my thoughts come back to me.
Thoughts of past and long ago,
Just the same cliche,
But the drawing of the card
Signals the new day.

People come and people go,
But one thing stays the same,
The overwhelming need
For players in the game.
When your bishops, queen and knights
Have long since gone away,
The time has come to
Welcome the new day.

  Welcome her with open arms
  And let her guide you through
  She's the only one around
  Forever looking out for you.

Life and love is just a game
I know you've heard it said,
The time will surely come
When this game will end.
And all that you can do
Is to Pick up your head and say:
"I am ready to
Welcome in the new day."

BRAVO!!! Ooohhhhhhhh...I love this, sweet friend, I have missed you and your marvelous words soooooo much, it is a pleasure to see you again! (smiles) Love is indeed a game, but as long as we have faith in ourselves and look up to each brand new day with a smile, the experience will awlays be rewarding!
