Sit on the back of a white turtledove Released from the hands of God in the sky Was the one of all the one I love The one who makes me laugh on and makes me cry Leaving my life in the hands of the lord I walk blind along the path of my life Round my neck I feel strangled by a cord O love may be hurtful and may cause strife But in the end my love will conquer all Every small thing that he has done and said I forgive and forget but still I can’t call It does not matter if he’s banished Sit on the back of a white turtledove I hope it carries and cares for my love. Life is about change, sometimes its painful, sometimes its beautiful, sometimes its both. |
