I feel your spirit floating in the trees
windspering words on lines of greenest leaf
your branches shade my heart and guide my way
to inspirations my soul waits to find

I lay beside your trunk of brownest life
hearing the stories of your seed's thin rings
they speak in voices of their time to me
telling me of their lives lived more than once

and as the sun sets now in skies of blue
I find that time has passed before my eyes
my life now written on those lines of leaf
my story now part of those rings so thin

speaking now to the seed of my own soul
windspering the words of eternity

Oh my, this is deep. Eternity speaks in the voices of the trees. Nicely done.

Excellent Sven, how well we compare to the
growth of a tree,  the rings, the leaves...

Sven - The title and the poem were both very good.

Thank you all my friends. . . it's nice when the mind can come up with words that speak. . . and when people can feel them. . .

thank you all. . .

Beautifully done from the tip of the Sven Pen.

loved this..and today I suppose I'm in the mood for your poetry. Geesh..I haven't been responding and so I couldn't continue to neglect one of my favorite poets could I?

and umm..excuse me..but do you have a license to make up your own words, Sir?

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
