From a Daughter to her (Step) Father

Do I mean nothing to you?
Why do you keep hurting me?
Did I fail to be all
That you wanted me to be?

Do you treat me differently
Because I am not “yours?”
Is it because I’m not a boy?
Would you love me if I were?

What have I done to you
To make your heart so cold
Did you love me once?
Or are those just words you told?

Am I just part of the package?
Another thing you married?
Was your love for me a hoax?
Am I a burden you have carried?

What place do I hold in your heart?
Do I hold a place at all?
When did everything fall apart?
When did you build this wall?

Maybe it was always this way,
But it seemed to happen so fast.
Did I just now open my eyes
To the way things were in the past?

Has it always been this way?
Was I always second-class?
Or did you love me once?
And is that love left in the past?

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Liz, this is so very sad, my heart goes out to you and your tears, no one should ever deserve to be treated like this, shame on him! (BIG HUGGGSSSSSS) My heart goes out to you, sweet friend, know you are loved by many always, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liz, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

angel girl, gee I wish that I could be your step dad. But as long as I'm wishing, I'd wish for the gold. Phooey on this step stuff. If you ever want a new one just let me know. I'm here. I have two daughters and I'd love another. Yes, they are both very spoiled. And I believe that God only makes real beautiful wonderful daughters. Angels! Period!

Thanks everyone for your comments. This is a really confusing time for me. My (step) dad and mom are divorcing after 10 years, and now my (step) dad isn't treating me like his daughter anymore. It just seems like all these years were a waste.
