I see a sunny day..eighty three degrees
I hear a bird singing..instead of buzzing bees
it sings so loud I cant concentrate
I don't know where it is
must be on the roof or in the trees
does it know I am listening?
is it singing to me?

I have my kitchen door opened
it slammed shut from the wind
sat a candle holder
at the bottom of the door
too nice to close it
when its almost eighty four

through my black wrought iron gates
I see a pomegranate tree
dancing in the breeze
celebrating spring
as the bird continues to tease

I see a blue sky and hedges well groomed
a lantern waiting to be lit
lit by the moon
I see a beautiful day
a day of warm sun
and if this bird don't stop singing
im gonna get my gun..
Cause its giving me a headache
while writing this challenge for fun.

Oh I envy your weather!

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather, not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

Victoria you made my laugh (sort of) I have woodpecker that is parking on the highest chimney of this house trying to drive me insane I swear!  I found out this is how they try to get the attention of a mate, but he may not live long enough!  And, you are making me jealous as it is snowing here, yes snowing!  I can't believe it myself so I am jealous of your view~but you poem was great!

Shall I send over one of my five cats??? Not that they will ever harm the bird for...

One is too lazy and too fat to move
One has three legs, too few to jump the roof
One is blind so she won't see a bird
One is too busy catching insects in the muddirth
The last one is new, I don't her quite well
She may or may not....it's hard to tell

Thanks for meeting my challenge so well Victoria, I really enjoyed your windowview.

Reminds me of a day last week when the birds were so noisy. It was eerie....like something out of "The Birds".

Cute poem, Victoria. *s
