A group of guys one day did say we need order, religion and someone to pay So they drafted some laws, and some high tax bills to fund a nice white building on capital hill They used the eagle to represent our culture unbeknown to us, it was the IRS vulture So congress was formed and america began ran well for a while, like a lincoln sedan Time passed on and goverment was great until that fateful south asia debate there were comminists invading another land the poor people, how could they do this too vietnam We'll send in our boys, agent orange too (a toxic defoliant to me and you!) We'll win no problem, those fateful words and time dictated our soldiers corpses being picked at by birds So history was written and some items make you ill the policy, the secrets of capital hill........ Nice poem, But Actually the IRS is a recent invention, The founding Fathers made no provision for such a thing. Some might like to believe that they just could perceive the need, But research into the Federalist Papers show they did so to Prevent the injustices which have befallen us. Gloom |
