Chasing Shadows

there is
a ghost
that lives
inside of me
the shadow
of someone
I wish
I could be
sometimes catch
a glimpse
of her
in the corner
of my eye
there
then gone
as quietly
as a sigh
where does
she hide
where is it
that she
does play
stepping forward
to surround
my silhouette
then gone
won’t stay
find her
at times
of looking forward
the times
of looking back
maybe I’ll
keep her
in the time
to put away
the things
I lack
