The draft of your ice

You left the crumbs the crust the bones
the shell the hollowness the cold

the draft of your ice . . .

have you noticed
anything missing?

I think you feel nothing no touch no kiss
no heart no soul no tenderness no warmth

the cold of your silence . . .

you haven’t noticed
things missing.

You took my days my nights my love my
life my energy my spirit

the emptiness of my day . . .

have you noticed
we do not share?

I think you lost your desire your need
your want your curiosity your promise

the dryness of your remains . . .

you haven’t noticed
the missing marriage.

A very solumn write and one I know I could unfortunately relate to.  Excellent flow of coldness in this one, that many have felt I am sure.

Sometimes a poem like this makes me feel so not alone in my feelings...

*there was a time when no matter who would tell me, I would deny anyone could feel the way I was feeling at the moment.

Krawdad

It is sad that so many live their lives in the cold.  Well done.

(big hugggssssss) This is so very sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to everyone who loses time and their love so coldly like this and are left alone to cope with the heartaches in response! (sad sigh) This is so very sad but well-written, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet E.J, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Krawdad,

This is so cold.  A sincerely chilling read.  Excellent work.

This is of course sad, as you meant it to be Krawdad. And it is so sad that lives go on like this. I know many in this situation. Hope the sun comes up bright for you tomorrow. floria
