Perspective on Hair (Madame Chipmunks!)

I’ve thought a lot about your hair,
And the request you made for prayer.
For the loss of it would make you bare,
Without it would we still really be fair?

But if you should from your hair depart,
We would know you by your heart.
Which doesn’t change the doubt you face,
Nor help you try all your fears to erase.

So I wondered if this were to be about me,
Without my hair what would I see?
Just the thought of it made me cry,
And now I see your concern and why.

So I’ve changed my mind about your plight,
I’ll be more sensitive and I’ll start tonight.
But you without your hair upon your head,
Sometimes makes me want to laugh instead.

Not only a cheeky twist, but a very chipmunky cheeky scamper into the hallowed halls of laughter, where the best medicine might be found....

something tells me she is going to be very, very glad to see this one!

Laughter is the best medicine Larry and I am sure Lyra will giggle at this one. Good write, and it is only hair. It's what's in the heart that counts.

(giggles in delight) Awwwwwwwww, you are so sweet, dearest friend, laughter is indeed the best medicine and I know if there is one person who can cheer our dearest Lyra up, it's you! (big hugggssssss) My prayers are with her and her hair, but even without her hair, she will always be our most loving friend to us all, for true beauty lies in the heart! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, God Bless your golden heart! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Larry, thank you for sharing!

Larry.......thanks for thinking of me, and for understanding.
But you are probably right about the ending.
No one would recognize a chipmunk without it's hair.
If I lose my hair, I'll lose my stripes too...and then I'll look just like any other hairless rodent. I would look like a rat with cheek pouches.

Cute Larry. I’m glad you gave Lyra a little chuckle. And you know, if you do lose your hair, and you ask real nice, she just might let you borrow one of her wigs
