Cupid's Mistake

The sound of regret resonates
into my soul, pain penetrates
for, fate has served me a plate
of romance that's turned to hate.
So, I bite off more than I can chew
choking on the memory of you.
My kiss has no destination
so I face the devastation
of Cupid's procrastination;
I'm another victim of his mistake
as memories of you weep within my ache.

(big hugggsssssss) Awwwwww, this is so sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to your tears, but I know deep down the Cupid will make it up to you and shower you with true love! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, my thoughts are always with you! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

===================================

That is one of the coolest play on words
and metaphors I'll see today...
and one of the saddest of impact...
you write it so we feel it Melis.
an achingly powerful write.

Awake again I can't pretend ... and I know I'm alone ...
And so close to the end of the feelings we've known.

I could have written this but you've already done it perfectly!

Yep, I can identify with this one. You've described it well Melissa.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

I'm starting to think cupid should horns instead of wings.
Writing with strength, as always.
