Cooper’s Creek runs cold
But Iambe stripped and waded in anyway
As I watched the shallow water creep
Up her thighs

It was warm.
The sun seemed closer to flaring today
So the chill water was relief
When I joined her

She had waded out the rock
We called turtle back
And stretched in unashamed languor
On her back letting the drops dry

Looking at me with half shut eyes
She asked if I had ever learned to really dance.
I cringed inside while answering only
“no”

She chuckled
Reached for my hand
Pulling me towards the sun
And the thighs I had watched the water lap
Just minutes ago.

CPatHair--
'Scuse me.  I'm new here and simply wondered how you pronounce "Iambe".
This lady is HOT!

Sun,
I thought of it like Iambic pentameter,
or one of those Greek goddesses you can never have.

Ron,
I like that we get to share their pain,
so also, we share their tendernesses.
