Her Song See that girl all blush and thin See the sky that dangles At the edge of her whim Blue dress exploding all around her Hear the galloping of her youth Hear her song Of heart so long the sound Held in dimming light Covered with a flannel gown Hung in the sun to flower She walks where eyes watch And melts as she passes each whisper Her colt legs strong in root take note Of each cracked sidewalk cloaked With her impatience She is falling in love with a love song That plays her each night in dim Her skin like angel dust when touched Leaves a pattern laced with trust See this woman strong with fragile She who walks the road less traveled Dusted off from many falls The girl still sings within her walls Her song |

Martie yes this is a treasure, and I printed this one out and will frame this as "your" contribution to my wall of poetry friends. I think I happen to like this the best of all that you have ever done, as the visions it created were so vivid in my mind (but still like that curtain flapping in the breeze, you know - they way you said it) ~* Without deep reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people ." *~ |

She is falling in love with a love song That plays her each night in dim Her skin like angel dust when touched Leaves a pattern laced with trust See this woman strong with fragile She who walks the road less traveled Dusted off from many falls The girl still sings within her walls Her song You dear lady are a treasure... and your words..touching truths we can ponder... loved this... |

Love this Martie!! Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Blue dress exploding all around her Hear the galloping of her youth See this woman strong with fragile She who walks the road less traveled Dusted off from many falls The girl still sings within her walls Her song I would have loved this poem simply for the phrase "See this woman strong with fragile"... but the whole is so amazing. *S* Every time I think I've read your best, you up the ante'. *S* Beautiful! |

A few faves: "Blue dress exploding all around her" "Her skin like angel dust when touched Leaves a pattern laced with trust" "See this woman strong with fragile... Dusted off from many falls" Thank you for the musing this invites. Delightful, warm, playful... kinda spunky, too ... and hope, a bright hope... ~smiles~ I like this one, Martie. ~m |

It's good to see a stone in its original setting....helps you appreciate the new, and understand that the value in it isn't based on anything temporal at all. This that you truly speak of here...I've seen it many times, for many many years...as you know. It's as beautiful now as ever. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
