RIP, Batman 8/27/05...for a sweet gentle man

Fragile, wrapped within delicate soft paper thin skin,

he stole away for his last rendezvous to his secret cave within.

His good chores done on Earth, our beloved Batman did sigh,

peacefully whispering his final goodbye.

It’s Ok to cry.

All who met him shall no doubt bow a head and nod,

they shall surely miss

this sweetly scented gift from God.

RIP, dear Batman.

May the love of your heart bloom forever

in fields of flowers, and in the hearts and minds

of those you touched with your special spirit.

Last night I had to say goodbye to a special character. I am thankful for this poetic sanctuary, for a small spot to post this where it shall not get trampled on.

I currently am working with developmentally disabled adults. Each one has a gift, a unique spirit, a special light to shine.

RIP, Mr Batman. I only knew you for two weeks, but was touched deeply by your vibrant zest for life. Thank you for sharing your Batman tune a few nights ago, and the giggles generated by some secret past memories you experienced.

*(this is not about Gary, the one I wrote about recently. I am still hoping to hear some news from him, hoping his therapies are going well ~sigh~)

I don't know who your Batman is/was, but I know by the way you write that you loved him very much. A very special poem and dedication indeed.
