For years, I didn’t....and.... I built the mighty dam, as waters lapped my heels. I troweled the great wall, to hide my reveals. I forged the rivers wide, to run from what did hurt. I'd give, but yet I'd hide my head in choking dirt. I am a man. Blessed be they who cherish me for this. My hem does not show, nor does my soul, unless I pry open the gate to where my heart lies. My cracks lie beneath mortar that discloses but a smooth surface. And of this, one's ponder might divulge the flaw of what is unseen. Don’t ask me to cry, for I do so...freely. Nor should you reach out for a hug, for I am now, as I write. Compassion is naught, for it lies within the letter I wrote. Should arrive soon. And for goodness sakes, don’t look for me to tell my indwelling secrets or shames, for they rest before me now....within my open palm... I am learning...it takes time...
