Everything but Weakness By Larry Chadwick Peace dear friend Withheld for so long your pain erupted and bruised my heart. Tears blended both by your agony and my failure to know. Sometimes it’s pictures, other times a note. Always – unexpected. Tears not yet familiar with the loss of you. Tunes of recall, grandpa in church, us courting, favorites you shared. Tears of emotion, also devotion, even adoration. The pleasure of your accomplishments. Tears inspired by the milestones of school, of marriage, of divorce and employment even healing. As a friend of mine once said, “tears aren’t always about weakness”. Friend…they seldom are. September 28, 2004 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. [This message has been edited by Larry C (09-30-2004 10:06 PM).] |

Martie, Thanks. It was personal and recent. Nice of you to notice. Thank you Kacy and I pray for them peace and strength. Sharon, We certainly do agree. And thanks for the little love pat. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

"Sometimes it’s pictures, other times a note. Always – unexpected. Tears not yet familiar with the loss of you." I really like these lines. But then I also really like the whole poem. It flows like a tear running down a cheek and getting caught in the dimple of a smile. Lizzie. "Time has told me not to ask for more, one day our ocean will find its shore" ~Nick Drake |

You are so right. I am glad I stopped to read. I opened this poem because my thoughts have turned to Michael in recent days, but the poem is so worthy....yes, glad I stopped. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Ed, Thanks for the visit. His story, IMHO, is so sad. A family without their husband and father. And thank you cor remembering. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |
