Pulled, twisted, brought to life, a
spirit of the cynical self, and
loaded down with costly strife, a
willingness to harden my self.
Torn, severed, caught in war, an
ignorant child, a boastful boy taught
both to fight and to abhor an
evil force that hurt this boy.

bare witness to these crimes
note the happenings of these times
take your pen and paper and write
list each tear and scar in their fight
don't forget for they will lie
don't let the memory die
let each scream and word of hate
guard history and keep it straight.

Marshal:

Thanks for the reply.  I appreciate being placed into the library of a fairly significant poet around here.
