Itching thoughts
from midnight
til three
you mingled
with humidity torture
legs awake
mind more so

I tried
every vacant bed
for respite
from caring for you
when I should
be repairing
in sleep

Pacing mind
trip wire
battle
caught
in own bed
sweating
you out
.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

We have been having some awfully hot weather lately here in England, I see you too have been kept up all hours thinking in the heat. This is such wonderful writing, thanks for sharing

Ahh... yeah, you know something?  Insomnia bites and it bites me a bit more often than I'd like to admit.  Especially when it's something in particular keeping you up, it's just terrible.  Most of the time, for me, I only get insomnia when I have something to look forward to the next day.  But every once in a while it's for the reasons you describe... a sickness that just won't quit, or let my mind sleep.

Good work here, Gemjop, it's nice to have you in the Sanctuary crowd.

Is it a cool day or a lost love you pine for here? Loved this.

*bites down VERY hard on the comment she was going to make to Andrew...*
Must... not... say it....

You have no idea how hard it was to keep my focus Gemma Blame it on... um... Bob. Yeah. it was Bob's fault.
ANYWAY, onto the poem...
You know, yet again you've written my thoughts. Good stuff, I'm starting to like that, it means I can get lazy I'm sorry, I tried to keep this semi-normal, but alas it just wasn't to be. Beautiful words, just like I'm coming to expect from you, and I apologize for the Canadianish reply

Repairing in sleep....pacing mind.....itching thoughts....Gems! I'm going to try building some of that type of color phrasing into my writing too...it's very effective.
