Hear me!
A voice echoes
the deeds of a brutal age,

causing a girl
reading in bed
to sweat.

But alas,
whatever illustrative power
such cruel words convey,

is simple
to silence --
the turning of a page.

smile.

This is brilliant.

Nothing like having to turn the page to bring you back to the present time.

LOVE THIS.

Fact and fiction are closer than you'd think... they're both just tiny realities that spin around in your skull and invoke some kind of reaction... I'd say the line is nothing but magnitude, but hey, then again I'm really tired.  Haha...

Still awake enough to like your poetry... thanks for the read as always, Mike.

hehe I just love this, but no matter how many times I read still I cant think of anything really interesting to say in my reply other than "brilliant writing".

So brilliant writing

I'm not entirely sure what inspired this. An image of a girl reading a book of terrible deeds, only to have those deeds erased the second the page is turned, just came out of nowhere.
