Tending To My eyes wake to another morn, dream crusted, the night's deposit leaving its residue. Eyes closed, I warm them with the wetness of cloth, pressing hard enough to redden, but gently enough to leave no scar. Dreams washed away, another day to cover in baby steps, hoping I have learned to walk forward and only looking back to remember, where once I came. "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Your poetry is pretty down lately, isn't it? I just woke up (yeah I know, it's noon here, too), and I have the crusty dream thingies in my eyes so that part of the poem had a nice effect on me. True, sometimes it's hard to be sure of where we're going when all we can do is keep looking back... Another enjoyable read, Maureen... Parasite |

a painful place to be...and part of the transition it seems from where we are to where we would be... well done M... as usual you capture the mood and the feel with grace..and with style. |

Thank you LP. There are times when I am not sure what will come from me until I am forced to sit down and get those thoughts out of my head. Being frustrated helps my writing...it is those times when the worst of me gets my best...if you can understand that (probably because I am talking to myself analyzing me and where I keep going wrong) M |

another day to cover in baby steps, hoping I have learned to walk forward and only looking back to remember, where once I came. This sounds so familiar! Very much enjoyed! |
