Checking With Reality Looking up in the eyes of My reflection in my mirror, Scanning data, I want to Check the reality from my eyes. Listen up I don't have The kind of happiness giving does. I never feel the touches, The sensation of sharing. I wonder why I don't love. I have a family of loving Yet I learn nothing from them, Not a single affection. Now tell me whether I belong to theirs. How can my heart begin to To melt... To melt into blazing fire, Burn out all the rotten self, And heat up the flame Of inborn goodness...in me. How can I survive in This world with me being a loner? How can I be touched And take my life back on track? I wonder why I don't love. I have a family of loving Yet I learn nothing from them, Not a single affection. Now tell me whether I belong to theirs. How can my heart begin to To feel gratitude. To feel reaching out is not sacrifing And that love not being returned Isn't such a big deal, in comparing To the joy, of seeing a smile... on your face. Tell me how I can survive Without loving through my life? Tell me how I can be touched? Will I walk through life with a blank page. Tell me how I can survive As a loner on this earth? Tell me how I can be touched And take my life back on track again. Tell me... (c)April 24, 2003 Eliza Simmons Eliza Simmons |

I see you as a very warm soul, full of love. The reflection in the mirror you see is a bit clouded. Want some window cleaner? LOL, don't mena to make light of this Eliza, but I think you are much more full of LOVE than you realize. BTW, this was a very good write! hugs, Kacy |

You know, being a loner isn't such a bad thing, really... if you can get over the initial loneliness, and just appreciate the individualism and independence that comes with the whole loner package, then you'll probably find it's rather easy to cope with. I've always said that most people on this planet aren't worth knowing. As a loner, you're given the wonderful opportunity to see past those who aren't worth your time and let in only the truly interesting, truly worthwhile minds. You'll find they're a lot like yours... And if you don't find such fellow loners, in your time alone... rest assured, with time they'll find you. I know this first-hand. All it takes is comfort... comfort with yourself, comfort with eating lunch alone at your own table, comfort with sitting around reading a book during your breaks. Your heart will melt more accurately when you are selective enough to feel as you are... as though you can't love, despite all the love you're given. Cool poem, by the way... I like the formatting, and the little isolated lines from place to place. This is really rather good... thanks for posting in Sanctuary. Parasite God becomes as |
