Breathing back the pip air, haven't been here in so long....just feeling inspired to write something...to much turmoil   ....title to come soon

blessed art thou o lord
so the life started and ended with this
as should we all
forsaken to live in this
where we are forever scared
quoted from myself
never unperfect in front of eyes
but behind, you tell me different
expected to be so
my eyes know it shan't be
i have no strength, for now at least
forgotten what life was like
what it ment for tears to flow
don't explain you understand
because i don't truely believe you do
its all a lie
just comforting
sometimes, my stained cheeks need that
tender, sweeping lips
speaking that unspoken
lonely and blackened i stand alone
as do we all
this is an explanation
grace, as well as beauty, coming down stairs
swirling around with a smile
in the corner, lurks a secret
without blood flow, we would die
meaning we all strive on the same substance
knowing and recognizing this is two different things
so you don't know me
not yet

Morning mist clings to my face, and my soul opens up to you......

Cool poem.  It sorta reminded me of T.S. Elliot's "The Hollow Men."

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"

Whoa Riley... I really like this one.  Put a really dark, unsettling image in my head... like you are sitting in a basement, just looking around, cold and shivering.  Grace and beauty coming down stairs, that little secret lurking in the corner.... really cool writing.

quote:
never unperfect in front of eyes
but behind, you tell me different

quote:
don't explain you understand
because i don't truely believe you do

This is a very important question of God... whether He can be perfect in the face of everything, and still know how it is to be imperfect, to suffer doubt, shame and apathy.

quote:
my eyes know it shan't be
i have no strength, for now at least
forgotten what life was like
what it ment for tears to flow

That apathy again... it's such an isolating, destroying quality.  It can indeed be very painful.  Be happy that you can spend your basement hours writing in the dust, and you know, there are always going to be people to share it with.

quote:
without blood flow, we would die
meaning we all strive on the same substance
knowing and recognizing this is two different things
so you don't know me
not yet

True... there is a difference between recognizing facts and experiencing them for oneself.  It's rare for anyone to ever really know another person, so don't hold your breath.  They are out there, though... who knows, you might yet find someone sitting next to you, if you keep your eyes open.

Janet Marie:Thank you very much. I was just putting something up there, because I was in a rush to post it, and my mind was a blur. Thanks for replying.

Fractal: Thanks for replying. And the compliment. Glad you liked it.

Kellie: Thanks a lot. I like that little heart thing you have going on.

Brian: Hey, thank you very much. Thats the whole look I was going for. I just imagined sitting in the dark place, and you get the picture. In the grace coming down the stairs, the whole rich girl coming down the stairs in the beautiful gown, and yea. Ok well enough for now. Thanks again for replying.

Thank you to everyone.....
