Inspired by SpitFire

Walking in the peaceful night
Dusted hair and feet of white
Spring in step and song in heart
Stand in wonder of God's art

Softly as the flakes do fall
It breaks down my inner wall
For a moment I feel peace
Praying that the night won't cease

~THIS is EXACTLY what I was talking about! How beautifully peaceful and thank you for seeing what I was meaning. You've captured it, and so poetically. Think I'll print it and tack it up next to the pc so's I can read read again. *Peace you.

This is wonderful....good work, Rebecca.

Just see how virtue repays you, you turn and someone betrays you
Betray him first, and the game's reversed...

Very nicely written.
I liked this....so serene

I admire it daily

~You know what?,...I've read your 'other one' and you DO know. I really, really, believe that we've experienced something totally similar. Maybe for different reasons, but the beauty and peace you speak of wraps itself around me. You put me back there with these two. You should set the link up here in this thread,...I believe the two to compliment eachother. *Peace R.

*P.S. I wish they had a little smiley with a winter hat on. You know with a little pom pom on the top of it. That'd be cool.

SpitFire I'm glad you liked it. You really inspired me, and I've been uninspired for a long time. Thanks! I believe we have experienced something simular as well. There's nothing else like it. It still brings back such vivid pictures of that night. A winter smiely would be great! LOL
We'll have to check around for that one.

Thank you Elizabeth, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you Dopey, happy I could bring serenity.

Martie thank you!

If anyone else is interested, here's the link to the other poem I wrote a year ago about my experience. They are similuar as SpitFire brought back those memories to me. *wonderful memories they are*

Aw, this is short and so sweet. I can often stand in awe of things I've seeen all my life, and looking at them as though I'd never really seen them before. That's part of the beauty of growing older, one's appreciation deepens. Thank you for sharing this. Mom

This is absolutely so lovely....

This was awesome. I just love poems about nightime scenes. That's pretty cool how you convey both what's going on inside of you and what's going on on the outside. It makes for a great poem, both in imagery and spiritualality.

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh."

Mom I wonder if has something to do with kids? For some reason when you find peace and quiet, you seem to relish it even more. LOL Thanks.

WhtDove, this poem is soooooooo pretty and it makes me yearn to go back home where four inches of snow has been falling on the blanket white that's already on the ground...

Gosh, I really miss that snow but your poem sure does bring back the memory I have of its beauty...

Great job!  I really enjoyed this poem, short but well written.
