Mine is a careless hand riddled with temporary ink scars; pageless strokes of error with childlike focus. But I shall keep them for a while, boasting their sacrifice before twisting times faucet and starting again. |

Interesting... that kind of piece that has to be read twice. I love getting this sort of work from you, Kevin, because I like how unified your poetry is. Having it short makes it easier to read over again without having to start my thoughts over. What I see in this is you discussing how things that are petty and small can still provide insight, can still be useful and should be embraced. Your life hasn't been difficult, your scars are of ink and temporary... yet, you insist that you mustn't do away with these scars just because they are trivial. You will keep them and boast their sacrifices. You won't make those ink scars seem to be for naught, and do away with them without regarding them fully. I might be off the mark here. Help me out. Parasite Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. |

I enjoyed...the idea and the imagery fit well. Can't speak to your intent, but I could see it as a holding on to ways and words for yet a while longer before you wash them away and start again.. |

Pretty close LP, Scars is sort of a misleading word, I was being more literal in the sense of, the actually pen marks you get on your hand, when your writing. It will ocasionally happen to me, and I use that carelessness, as a metaphor for me being careless in my writing itself. The marks on my hand sacrificed for the ink that made it to words on the paper. I keep them for a while, enjoying what I at the time think they sacrificed for, but then eventually become disastisfied over time, and wash my hands of it and start again. Sort of a repeated never good enough thing. hehe I almost like your interpretation better |
