(I know, I know, I left but Aimster wrote one, so I thought I would too!) The two of us smell the rain and stand waiting to be clean. We wait and lift up our eyes and our ears and hear tomorrow’s thunder Do you hear the sound? It trickles through the core of a heart-only one heart. Smell the petals and taste them. We are not afraid to stand there The two of us will cleanse completely. and when the storm is over one will turn and walk away in remembrance; giving of her passion and she will smile. She will be released for she isn’t needed anymore. The other will continue standing and confront many storms She will once open wholly writ. Serenity will emerge with a new birth. Love will fill outstretched hands, and she will fall to her knees praying for understanding. She will smile with a new perception and know truth. and never be afraid, or alone again For she smelled the rain and followed the signs to completion. "I walked beside the evening sea and dreamed a dream that could not be." George William Curtis [This message has been edited by Kathleen (edited 02-12-2001).] |

Kathleen, What do you mean you left? Not from PIP? We have to see more wonderful poems like this. Gene (formerly, u_gene) |

I know, Gene !! I'm trying to heal from a health problem, but well, thank you so much for this encouragement, I do love the Sanctuary and the Spiritual forum has been such a blessing, so ....well............look for me around "I walked beside the evening sea and dreamed a dream that could not be." Kathleen, Perfect ending my friend. And you know, you are never alone. Jennifer Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

I love the storyline of this. Very interesting, seems like it could be a really intriguing short film or something. You give so much depth to this simple scene, all of the symbols underlying it really make the mind gape in awe... Especially the ending, which left me very satisfied. This is a very well-written poem. Parasite Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. |
