My flesh is crawling to survive. Tell me what will I do now? My heart is beating thrice of life. I am steadfast in my vows. My skin relieves no memory. Nail my casket on the cross. Tell me death is purity-- say my murder is not loss. Watch me martyr in the sun. Believe in me, our Father's son. Mother, do not weep for me. Know your grief has yet begun. Take this bile of vinegar. May this cup too pass from me. Upon the gold of Calgary-- cherubs sing in revelry. Take this fire from my tongue. May honey be the death of sting. Say I am the only one-- but? Pray for me--in litany. I lack words... will it make sense (to anyone but me) when I say...its somehow poetic to find this in "haven"..yet it doesnt seem to take comfort in the thought of sanctuary... dont think the walls can hold the ache.... heart-hugs KA. |

Freaky stuff, Serenity. Just what I've come to expect. I have to say I like the allusions to the crucifixion in this... it's kind of subtle, but your vocab like "nail" and "martyr" bring images to mind and I'm sure you are aware of this... Suffice it to say, I like this loads... you're an awesome writer, Serenity. Parasite Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. |
