Words are broke.
They whinge. Brown coins
lifted from corpses' suitclothes.
Investigate the sun
at morning;
a poem's distance,
atremble.

Thoughts are broke.
Pour the cups.
Drink your desert,
hourglass.
A twitch of sip.
Rim salt and sand
in silence,
serve me bitters.

Songs are broke.
Can't mask their hurt.
Tunings, dead
and lively still.
Find me books.
I want to read
her calm. I want to spread
her sadness.

Patterns broke
by setter's strike.
The center point
is pulling type.
Shatter stones,
and spread the creek.
Stream river's flow
keeps following.

whinge---great word Mikey...

and I love the "broke" instead of "broken"--

I love the way I can take all of your poetry for any need I have. Like one of those scarf things, that can be a skirt, a blouse, hat or purse or YES..even a scarf! A shawl to keep one warm or a red cape to incite the raging bull...see what y'do to me?

Hm, see what you do to me?

Me, an article of Sen's clothing?

(puts tongue back in face and leaves fr lunch)

Sometimes things are broke... no currency left in them to pay homage to the pain or lonely.
Different from being broken... adds an interesting twist to the idea.

as usual your word play is great... creating images not quite describable without twisting a thought and view from where it was to someplace you feel it...

Nah.... you aren't an article of clothing for me. ( yeah I KNOW that doesn't dissapoint you ( laughing)) To me you are the reference book I pull down and consult when I need to put another take on something...only problem is sometimes it reads like Alice...and it scares me I understand

Yes...you got it...it's the spirit we need to spread around.

Next meeting? Right here! Under the blue sky, under the oak tree...

Thank you, Ron.

Sharon, should I hang the lanterns?
