We Held Your Hand We hearkened to resounds of heaven’s whispering Your name, beheld in countenance of sovereign Grace. We held your hand until we heard the angels sing In harmonies melodic as the spawn of spring, Extolling visions of a hallowed time and place. We hearkened to resounds of heaven’s whispering A song so sweet, our yearning hearts envisioning Your dancing blithefully about celestial space. We held your hand until we heard the angels sing Songs of release from burdens earthly trek may bring, Our visions with the stars to see your joyous face. We hearkened to resounds of heaven’s whispering. Bequeathing now our hold to end all suffering, For mortal days so surely wrought in steadfast pace. We held your hand until we heard the angels sing One hand in ours, one touched upon seraphic wing, Our grasp released to bind ethereal embrace. We hearkened to resounds of heaven’s whispering; We held your hand until we heard the angels sing. (In loving memory of my father - C. Leonard Carlson - 1/4/23-4/23/02) by Nancy Carlson Ness [This message has been edited by Nan (05-01-2002 06:50 AM).] |

Beautiful Nan. Your heart shows here. A very loving tribute. I'm so sorry for your loss, it's hard to lose a parent no matter how old we are at the time. |

My sincerest condolences on your loss, dear friend, and my utmost gratitude to you for blessing us with this masterful tribute. Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. |
