Melodious harps and fluttering flutes, serenading in a cascading symphony, notes falling serendipitously, highs and lows frolicking joyfully, dancing syntonically over boulders and smooth stones in carefree fantasy, point and counterpoint, dreaming of the distant shores of nevermore and forevermore, blessing the union of hydrogen and oxygen, mysterious magical molecules, infusion, diffusion, illusion of sacrificed offerings in misty delight, quenching parched hearts and lips in a clarity of purposefullness, Life sustaining fluidity, Water. Lifeblood of the Earth. Beautiful poem and important message Midnightsun. Our water is our lifeblood and must be protected, not only in the oceans, but on land also. We have just finished a 7 year battle with the city of Toronto, they wanted to send their garbage up north here by train and dump it in one of our lakes.We won the battle for now, but money has power these days.In my profile you will see a link to my web page, in the picture-poetry section you will find one titled "Northern Response", it was penned for this cause. I really like this. You make your cause by appealing to the physical senses and showing what it is you're talking about. I heard waterfalls throughout and appreciate the skill and work you put into this. |

Destruction of the rainforest, pollution of our streams and lakes, paving over watersheds and careless use of natural resources are issues we must all resolve, if we hope to keep our lifeblood safe. Kathleen, thank you for your reply. Brian, thanks for the comment and the link, I will read your post. Keep up the fight for clean water. Sy, thank you for taking time to read and reply. Sunshine, thanks, you are always here and always supportive. Canukster, what a generously wonderful reply! Noah, hugs, and yay is an understatement. Larry, I've always been an 'Environmentalist' and sometimes even an 'eco-warrior' to some. But the homeschooling lessons sure do help keep focus on the critical issues of life. this is just beautiful....I had the chance at 16 to do an independent study, with him through my school, with under water Photography...sadly the trip had to be cancelled....but was I thrilled to have been chosen....thanks for this.... Lauren~ Tomorrow's another day |
