my thoughts wander around you
and i finger the ache
as a wound i wont let heal
it burns as if freshly torn
and yet it seems a lifetime ago
     that it became...

how long must this pain
be my lover
my constant companion
never ceasing to be...

there is laughter in the shadows
and it is pointed at me
it digs deep into my inflamed flesh
raking across this longing heart

but the pain
is part of the love i hold
and i will endure it...
until i can have you in my arms
you
the salve to heal the lesion
the fix to ease the ache...

my thoughts wander around you--
i have only to dream of your presence
and i am with you
in lustful ache of you
in yearning want of you
in complete need
     of
          you...

I have to admit this has to be one if not your best that I have seen of yours.  The title grabbed me and then I started to read and held my breath as I was carried down the page to this beautiful and powerful last stanza.  Enjoyed so much this evening, thank you for this one!

a lustfull ache.... those can be ceaseless.

Powerful write of the pain and joys of loving someone, and feeling their love, when present circumstances won’t let us hold it yet. This spoke to me very much.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
