Father To Sons When you were baby's I remember holding you and rocking you to sleep. I would sing you a French lullaby. "Tell me why this life is beautiful. Tell me why this life is gay. Is it that, is it because, you love me?" Although I write it now in English I always sung to each of you in French. That was many years ago and now you are grown men. Yet even though the times have changed the feelings in my heart still remain the same. I will always love you. I will always be sorry that I wasn't always there for you. My life will always be beautiful as long as I know that my three sons love me. JamesLee January05 2002 |

I grew up as one of 3 sons. Your poem touched me in a way that few do. I'd have given my right arm for a father who sang to me in any language. I'd have given both for one who cared enough to tell me he cared. Your sons are fortunate to have a father like you. No matter how imperfect you may feel. Thank you for this. This poem is more powerful than you can imagine. |

Very nice. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |
