Around the Corner

Sometimes the eye
can see
around a corner of
delight

and it dances
in the silver dawn
of what may come
to be

lured by visions
open wide to the
mystic pupils of wonder

These are the threads
of inspiration we spin
to knit a shawl
of comfort and
warmth

that turns the most
menial task,
the most trivial act
into a celebration of life

in the glimmering
eye’s expectation
of what dwells
around the corner
which we may

never turn

I would love to cross-stitch this on a pillow so that I can sleep with it. Always an inspiration, Liz! You always seem to see hope in what cannot be seen.

never turn" moment
is when it is best

of life and grab
a few more moments
of dream...
