This comes about from LJA's poem, a note by Lady Santos, and my subsequent plea... I Entreat You, Lady Santos You think you've not much time to sit and pen exquisite rhyme but Lady Santos, hear my plea if you were to ever think of me... ~*~ In the dark of lonesome night long after glow's twilight, come to us with your pen and speak of ever-then Give a thought, leave a ponder let our hearts peacefully wander over shores and shoals of ever-more please, come tap upon our door Join with Sy, our Sailor, 'Deer, too stir us all poetry's stew leave your words, with cheese and wine while you endeavor to entwine So I may view in small wee hours soft penned words your heart has scoured so I might learn at your door how to write, of ever-more... I have learned, I sit not alone o'er your words, their weighty tome for you have friends, angels, all around who read your words, are all, spellbound So think not, Lady Santos, dear that time is wasted when you are here for my world has expanded, one by one as I read what you have done. My heart fuller, my thoughts run clear as you write your heart, kept here; please, give us your circumspect as we give, our Lady, due respect. Karilea - This is where this poem belongs, where everybody can appreciate it. A beautiful tribute to a beautiful person, by another classic beauty. |

This is when I wish I had listened to my poetry teacher! Karilea, your tribute to Elizabeth is without a doubt the most beautiful thing I could think of said about her (except her heart is as big as a football too) LOL. She enriches my day, and when I talk to her on the phone her soothing voice is as softening and as comforting as her poetry. Time wasted? I get up every single morning and head to the blue pages to see what the "Lady Santos" wrote, and without her would there be a "Santos Sonnet"? I love you both for this, and I am sitting her smiling from ear to ear. She was the one that started my interest in this site, and will be one of ones to forever hold it here. ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ [This message has been edited by Mysteria (01-06-2002 02:16 PM).] |
