my half of your heart....... By Larry Chadwick the unconditional and cans are tepid sometimes, the future not so easy to tell, as this giddy young boy anticipates the possibilities of us and yet dreams the hopes that all lovers dream poetry a longing, yet to be shared with a beauty of like mind, the echo of his write, the other half of his embrace unaware of the challenges there oblivious to what he risks, not a doubt that somewhere out there the other half of who he longs to be, yearning for a fit that is the gift that will define all of the boundaries of his sea, and all possibilities of what life’s ifs probably should be February 13, 2002 This poem is in response to doreen peri's link: my half of heart........ this is soooooo beautiful, Larry! Thank you for this!! i am honored!!!!! Such lovely writing and a truly special gift from a kind friend. the format i sorta copied myself as I saw one Marge wrote that looked like a half of a heart, and i emailed her and told her "i wondered what happened to the other half of my heart".... which gave me the idea to write in this shape.... so i'm a copycat, too but hey, let's call us both "inspired", shall we? *wink*.... thank you again so very much!! i wish you and your loved ones a beautifully wonderful & perfect Valentines Day! You are a kind man and deserve no less!  |

dor, Thanks for clearing things up! THANKS MARGE! This was really fun but a much bigger pain to right justify then I expected. Plus writing lines to a specific length. By the way, it's the first poem that ever wrote requiring the use of a tape measure. LOL You have been so gracious to let me do this. I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day.  |

dor, LOL yup! Hey I sent you this in a file side by side with yours. Maybe they should be posted together as one in #19. If it measured up I assume you weren't using metric when you checked! LOL Thanks.  |

hehehhehehehehehe i know... i got that one from you & i sent one back that agreed but i rambled on saying i didn't know how to do it but it came back to me, you never got it ... lol... i can't stop laughing... this is communication on the net ...... crossed & missed emails and all this damn text to try to understand!! no wonder i have half a heart... lol... no wait! i have half of yours, too, now so i guess i can live through the rest of today but i still don't know how to post the graphic unless there's a place to upload it to ... i'm laughing so hard... thank you!! |
