Lead Me Home
You whisper words that make me melt,
Like you are sitting next to me,
And we close the gap that keeps us apart,
Uniquely as we share our hearts.

It fills my heart with warmth and wonder,
And fuels my dreams at night.
My fondest wishes and hugest hopes,
Grow wings and take to flight.

When two hearts are this close,
Can anything else be far behind?
As my heart races and my head spins,
Each speaks to me the same, its time.

The waiting drives me crazy,
The anticipation makes me half insane.
I long to touch you for real,
And I think you feel the same.

My heart feels lost without you,
As we cut the line between,
And I take to the night this comfort,
I’ve found only in a waking dream.

The calming comfort of your voice,
Stays with me day and night,
Like a beacon out on troubled seas,
It is your love that has been my light.

I find myself tongue tied hoping,
You will find the words I seek.
I lose my nerve and try to speak,
My face goes white, my knees get weak.

Only you could do this to me,
I’ll never cease to be surprised,
By the effect you have on me,
When I look into your eyes.

I need you to be the bold one now,
And lead me to that place, soon.
Where souls blend and hearts beat as one.
Take my hand and lead me home.

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

I am going to enjoy watching you bring poetry to Passions!  Welcome!  Please, check your E-mail for a Special Greeting!

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

This is a most beautiful work of word art. Welcome to Passions. I hope you find what you are looking for here. I know I did.

I hope someone grabs your hand and leads you home...but I also hope the other person isn't thinking the same way as you.

That would be a tragic poem!!!

Thank you, Karen!!! I am honoured to have such rave reviews..... I remember the poem you shared Yesterday "Where Shadows walk the Night"... I couldn't help but think of how I felt.... in a time like that... This whole site has been inspirational!!!  And I see by your time stamp which one of the poems that I submitted you read first... {{{smiles}}}
