Whimsical A soft dusting of kisses Touch my quivering skin --Sweetness almost unbearable-- And I abandon myself to you In moments of velvet dark, My soul trembling In the reflection of your eyes. Whimsical shadows Fall like cloud-woven filigree Around our silhouettes --As our minds entangle-- With dreamy confessions Of subterranean desire. Your arms--like wings-- Enfold around my lonely form While you chase away my phantoms --With delicate devotion-- And so I gladly relinquish My sorrowed, sinking blackness To your silver buoyancy. Love--capricious, yet concrete Is what we have surrendered to... And I know that in this submission We have found Eternity. *This is for Abrahm, of course, and I'm taking a risk my posting it tonight since I'm giving it to him tomorrow..I hope he doesn't find it!* *Krista Knutson* |

*sigh* I absolutely love this poem, sweetheart A perfect Valentine's Day gift. This is one I'll have with me through out life's journey, as we go together down that road. "Love--capricious, yet concrete Is what we have surrendered to... And I know that in this submission We have found Eternity." Absolutely beautiful "A hard, cold wisom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil" - Robert Heinlein |
