Between a laugh and a tear...

The Angels Came

The angels came with tears in eyes
To quietly take a Mother's prize
A fine young man his soul released
I pray now only for his lasting peace

My tears they flow without refrain
At least I know he has no more pain
A road too long, a search for relief
A family left behind to cope with grief

Left once again to count the cost
To such good people, and such a loss
But the world goes on, turns from afar
And brings to sight a bright new star

It's amazing how something can be both so sad and so beautiful at the same time. May God bless and shed some peace to this young man's family.

~Eddie,...your heart is so full of love and concern for others and I admire that. This is just beautiful, though heavy with the loss. Take care you. *Peace.

Eddie....your own wings are in view...along with your kind heart...this is a tender lovely tribute to all envolved and also to the special friendship that created this special bond.
As they say...."touched by an angel"
I knew you would write something...as we have come to expect this kind of sincere devotion from you, you always come thru...and because you are a poet... a fine one at that.

Thank you, Eddie, for this beautiful verse for a courageous fight for life for a young boy.  I have tried to put words on paper and I seem to wash them away.  Thank you for sharing the words from your heart.  take care,  ME

At this point in time words simply fail me... Your thoughts are, and will be appreciated, thank you!

The day that I read this first my emotions were much to out of control to reply here...
Your words touched places very deep within my heart and I felt that today...the day I'll say good-bye to Shane...would be the day to reply to this...to remind me that I'm not saying good bye...rather remembering the good times with him and the simple fact that his memory will go on...always and his small hand touched so many people and brought us together...for that and so much more...he will be cherished...always.
Love to you my friend, and thank you for your constant display of heart~
