You can’t hurry love
No, you just have to wait
So says Billy
In songs
That I’ve sampled of late
But the wait
In this state
Feels so anti-innate
At this rate
My true mate
Will be ten years too late
Is this fate?
Or bad luck
To be stuck
So alone
When I feel like I’m grown
With such passion yet shown
To a world that my friends
Say Is still mine to own

In a way
I agree
That it’s me
Who must say
Where I’ll be
Some twenty
Years away
From today
Still this play
That I write
Has a plot
And a scene
But it still hasn’t got
Someone Cast as the queen
And there’s only so much
That the touch
Of my pen
Can do for this act
Played over and again
Yes I’ve been
Here before
And I’m sore
From denial
A feeling that stays in one’s heart for a while
But smile
I still
When my will
Is the strongest
Through endless daylight
Though the night
Is the longest
And why do you ask
Do I mask
All this gray?
‘Cause auditions are open
At least for today

I loved this poem, and my thoughts are that you'll have plenty of time for all your passion.

LOL! Don't worry. I got a lot more out of it, but that stood out to me. enjoyed.
