Beneath the northern stars

0 posted 2002-02-11 06:06 PM

Each day I watch you from afar
I gaze across the way
I never show my feelings
As I see you walk away.
You stole my heart so long ago
Today you have it still
I want to get to know you
But I know I never will.
I'd like to talk to you
And hear what you have to say
But every time I catch your eye
I quickly look away.
But if you need someone to talk to
When you're sad, alone, or scared
And you don't know who to turn to
Remember that I care.

Nothing speaks so as the pain of unrequited love.

Thank you, and welcome.

Welcome to Passions! I DO like your name! I hope you find the poetic home you've been looking for, as we are "quite the family!" in all sense of the word!

Hope to see more from you!

Welcome to Passions, skyshine! Go for the gold! No.  Love isn't a game, but it certainly is a quest isn't it? I'm with Brian on this, let this guy know he caught your eye (and maybe your )

Brian, thank you for the support! I don't know when next I'll see him, but I'll try to stop and talk to him for a little bit.

Thanks for the read, Tiersdin!

Glad you liked it, Skyfire.

Thank you Sea, I thought it was appropriate.

Serenity, thank you, I'm glad you liked it. (I like my name too!)

Moonlight Romeo, yeah, it does hurt....but if it's meant to be it'll work out.

Mistletoe Angel, thank you for the enthusiastic welcome and reply to my poem!

Thank you Enchantress! I'll check my e-mail right away.

Thank you Sunshine! Nice name.

RosePetal, thank you for the welcome and the read!

Midnitesun, yes, love is a quest, and I'm hoping that soon I'll find what I am looking for.

Thank you everyone for your kindness and your welcome. This poem may not be one of my best, but it is certainly close to me. Thanks again, you all!

Skyshine,
I had no idea what a rare gem this is! If this isn't near your best I'd like to see what is. This is truly a delightful poem. Somebody missed a very golden opportunity. All I can say is shame on them. Well done.

Thank you Larry! I've talked to him a few times, but I still haven't decided whether or not to show this to him. Your words mean a lot to me. Thank you.

Thanks passing shadows!

You can sit there and forgive someone until the cows come home, and it won't make a bit of difference until they forgive themselves.
