they spoke in easy whispers
thoughts from you to thoughts from me
the sounds forming shapes of hearts
rooted deep in the essence
of honest conversation

when they spoke in chirpy tones
thoughts of you with thoughts of me
my fatigue used to vanish -
still fades when I think of you

special were moments of us
when love spread in little words
unique like rare diamonds
amongst ordinary stones

ah! the ache of memories
is a lesson in torment
felt like sand-castles falling
amidst rapid wave surges
in moments of high tide sweeps

they say the moon is to blame
for the rise and fall of tides
I don’t question their wisdom -
love often rains in moonbeams

all I know is it was good
dancing in the silver rain
when our simple thoughts drew hearts
by speaking easy whispers

~~~
Sud this is such a lovely write...
the imagery is wonderfully conceived, and the expression of your emotions are done with a sincere, touching, depth.
this is a beautiful bittersweet write...
the loss is felt...but the love is held with no regret...thats what I read in the "brillance" of your words.
Well done my friend...(and congrats on breaking the big 5)
You speak to me in riddles and you speak to me in rhymes.
My body aches to breathe your breath ... your words keep me alive.
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
I love this, Sudhir... and particularly, these lines
my fatigue used to vanish -
still fades when I think of you
Love should be a refuge and respite. *S* If it can still serve as such even after it leaves, it was obviously very special. *S* Beautiful!
SI,
I hope this isn't just a convocation
for something lost,
as well.
