Pick and Choose There are times when I back away And others when my mind would stay It is a game of pick and choose And often I would pick and lose. For who can know the human mind If not expressed your sense is blind. Some will answer and some will not And some will form a mental plot. Your tongue a foil of lunge and tarry While the mind will fence and parry. And never will the wound so deep That the mind in rash cannot sweep. The only common bond is earth And the umbilical of birth Forget the factors of our dare The common is in need of care. Our rash is deadly to the core Without its care we will no more. |

Think of your poetry as our daily serving of soul food (washed down with raspberry tea of course)*L* I do so love walking barefoot thru your mind. *ww* |

I pick and choose you as one of my favorite poets...I don't think I could make a better choice by verbal/written acknowledgement of this move.... |

Seymour this is really good. You've said a lot and said it well. It's not easy to keep to a tight form and make a serious message come through with seeming effortlessness. You've done that here, and it is either the result of great talent or hard work. I suspect equal portions of both. Good job. never try to teach a pig to sing |
